Curling greats record perfect end: Congrats to long time Manitoba curlers Garry Ross, Doug Harrison, Doug Holmes and Terry Asseltine in scoring an 8 ender during the annual Senior Men's Bonspiel; a definite highlight in their long and successful curling careers.

Quality teams, such as this, are indicative of how this spiel has grown in stature and competitiveness.

AMCC recorded its second 8 ender of the season when Gerry Lozinski, Glen Westlund, Leroy Clarke and Myron Majcher achieved this rare feat in Crestwood Mens League play Saturday, 20 Jan 2018.

Relevant information will be forwarded to Curling Canada and the team will receive 8 ender awards.

Very well done to the team, coach, parents, sponsors and others on retaining the Canola Provincial Junior Curling Championship. Special congratulations to Skip JT Ryan on also winning the Susan Galbraith Junior Sportsmanship award.

Thanks to all who joined us for the Team JT Ryan send-off event on Sunday, January 7.

AMCC presented a cheque in the amount of $545.00 to Jim Bender, who continues to donate his time to Christmas Cheerboard activities after his retirement from writing for the Winnipeg Sun newspaper. Jim is pictured below receiving the cheque from AMCC President Bruce Wilkinson, Cindy Boraskae (Bar Manager) and Al Seredynski (Director Ice & House).

The donation is largely made up from proceeds raised by the Men’s League during the month of December. The remainder comes from individuals who dropped money into the jar at the bar. Thank you very much to all who contributed.
