Limited Facebook live video streaming (visit our Facebook page - facebook.com/curlamcc.ca) will also be made available throughout the event. A few photos, as well as 50/50 winners will also be posted there. Note there are two unclaimed winning 50/50 tickets as of 8:30 Monday evening.

Sincere appreciation to the volunteers, staff and sponsors for delivering, yet another, first class event at our great facility. The 30 teams participating in the Atkins Classic included some of the top curling teams from across the Province and featured a special appearance from a Japanese team. Following 3 days of triple knockout competition and semi finals it was left to David Bohn (AMCC) and Darcy Robertson (AMCC) to defeat Jordan Smith (Portage) and Barb Spencer (AMCC) respectively in capturing the Mens and Womens Division title, associated prize money as well as MCT/WCT points. All things being equal the Atkins Classic will make its third appearance at the AMCC in the Fall of 2018. -Paul Batchelor, Club Manager

The AMCC was pleased to, once again, host the Ernie Oliver 2 Person Stick Spiel 27/28 Sep 2017. Under the organizational skills of the Manitoba Stick Curling Association, this year’s Event featured 32 of the top stickers representing City and Rural Curling Clubs.

Although many of the AMCC teams placed well, it was left to John Bazarkewich and Martin Nechwediuk to capture first place overall by defeating the Cotton team from Swan River (pictured Martin and John receiving the Event plaque from Ernie Oliver).  This may be a sign that Marty and John are preparing to capture the Provincial title (similar to 2 seasons ago).
