Update 05-Nov-2017: To contact our Club Manager for club-related business / issues, please use the contact form on our web site. For e-mails that are more "personal" in nature, Paul will provide an update to his contacts in the next few days (as of now, he does not have access to his old Hotmail / Outlook.com account, and may end up creating an entirely new account).
We have been made aware that the personal e-mail account (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) used by our Club Manager for AMCC communications was hacked this afternoon (Nov 2), and spam / phishing messages were sent to some of our members.
- If any of you received messages from him today, please delete them (this is the safest course of action to avoid being scammed or infected by malware yourself).
- If you need to contact the Club Manager for an urgent issue - until further notice, please phone (or if you have his contact details, text message) him.
- Dedicated e-mail accounts will be provided for the Club Manager and all board members within the coming week or so to avoid similar recurrence in the future. By coincidence we were in the process of setting this up already, but our limited volunteer resources can only move so quickly.
- Steps are being taken to re-secure the compromised account.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to our members by this incident.
