MLA Jim Rondeau took time out of his busy schedule the evening of Fri, 2 May 2014 to present a $20,000 cheque, from the Community Places Program, to Club Manager Paul Batchelor. This generous contribution, in direct support of the recently completed Accessibility Project, is just one of many Grants received from the Province over the past few years. MLA Rondeau spoke of the sense of genuine pride so prevalent at the AMCC as well as the health and welfare benefits accruing from the great sport of curling. Club Manager, Paul Batchelor, noted Jim's commendable concern for always placing the needs of his Constituents above all else. In true "energizer bunny" fashion Jim chatted with everyone in attendance at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Night, stopped for a wee bite to eat, brought greetings from the Province and dashed out of the club to his next engagement.
Congratulations to George Archibald; a very deserving recipient of the Curl Manitoba, AMCC Club Volunteer of the Year for 2013/14. Details of next season's Volunteer Appreciation Night will be announced at a later date.
