The Senior Men Bonspiel, more commonly known as the Archie Spiel, marks the end of the 2021/22 Senior Men’s League play at AMCC.  This was the first time in over 2 years that we were able to host this extremely popular spiel. Thirty two teams participated in the Spiel, representing numerous City and Rural curling clubs.  Before I list the final results, I’d like to thank everyone who helped in making this Event as successful as it could ever be:

The Organizing Committee:

  • Archie Mullin
  • Murv Kuruluk
  • Ralph Swainson
  • Al Kohli
  • Don Cozine
  • Guy Langlois.

The AMCC Staff:

  • Club Manager, Jody Smart
  • Lounge and Restaurant Manager:  Lori Vandal and her staff.
  • Ice Maintenance: Oliver Keller.  Oliver seemed to be on the ice surface either curling with his team or prepping the ice for the many draws.
  • Kevin Nakonechny (volunteer): reprogrammed the bell as required for our draws.

Your combined efforts made this event a complete success, thank you. There is no Bonspiel without Teams - to all who participated in the Archie Spiel, thank you.
