AMCC is looking in to the possibility of running a mixed doubles league on Friday nights as follows (details subject to change):
Draw time: 9:15 pm Fridays, beginning late Oct / early Nov 2017.
Not recommended for first-time curlers; stick delivery would be allowed.
13-15 weeks total, all teams play equal games
Entry fee $130 per person
6-end games, ties allowed
Team must consists of two players (male, female, or mixed), age 16+
6 teams minimum, 8-12 teams maximum
Pay per win format (amounts per team) - awarded at the end of each round:
Round-robin games:all teams play each other - $20 per win (tie = split prize money, draw to button to split standings tie)
Round-robin within two divisions based on first round W/L record: $30 per win (tie = split prize money, draw to button to break standings tie)
Championship game - based on playoff W/L:
"A" division: $50 winner / $30 runner-up
"B" division: $40 winner / $20 runner-up
No 50/50, silent auction, committee work, pre-game announcements or social events. Just pay, show up, check schedule (which will be posted online as well as in-club), play, and mark your score (before heading up to the lounge :-) ).
